Thermally-expanded graphite is used to make specific flexible material in a form of sheets. This material inherited from graphite its high-temperature and chemical resistances, and has additional properties such as flexibility, pliability and endurance in compression and extension. It’s a high-performance material for gaskets and packing.

APPLICATION:

Heat exchange equipment

• Sealing of hardware (apparatus) flanges.  High assembly durability, elastic restorability of the gasket under repeated temperature differences, compensation of distortions;

• Sealing of floating unit of heat exchanger In order to manufacture the gasket with narrow sealing area we use corrugated metal core with shorter pitch (distance between two crests);

• Protection of a flange against corrosion and product’s laydown. The gasket with variable section is covering all flange face and keeping width of sealing zone within designed number.

• Sealing of flange up to DN 5000;

• High assembly durability.

Recommendations:

• for flanges with defects, distortion and flatness fault;

• for flanges which are under repeated temperature differences and temperature extremes. For   equipment with frequent start and stop period;

SIZE STANDARD OF SEALING RING
The size of graphite sealing rings and rings’ sets are in compliance with gland chamber size of typical shut-off and control valves from Russia or any other country. At the customer’s request Sealur Ltd in compliance with customer’s drawings or sketches can manufacture sealing rings which has irregular size.
